A leaked HTC software updates plan has revealed that the original One and One max will receive Sense 6 upgrades later this year. It also reveals that the handsets next in line for an Android 4.4.2 KitKat update are the Butterfly S, the original Butterfly, the Desire 601, and the Desire 700.

So we’re fairly certain now that the second-generation HTC One will be named the “All New HTC One” — not the One Plus or the One 2 or the M8 — and that it’ll be available in gray, silver, and gold. And thanks to this leaked press photo published by @Evleaks today, we know exactly what the latter will look like.

The HTC subsidiary in Malaysia has announced that the Android 4.4.2 KitKat updates for the international variants of the dual SIM HTC One, One max, and One mini smartphones have begun their rollout. Owners can expect an update notification to hit their devices any time now if they haven’t already had one.

HTC will announce its new midrange Desire 8 handset on Monday, February 24, at an event in Beijing. The company has just begun issuing invites to the press, one of which was published on Chinese micro-blogging site Weibo.

HTC has today published a “save the date” teaser for a March 25 event which promises “the best is about to get better.” The Taiwanese company is almost certainly referring to its upcoming HTC One successor, which has long been rumored for a late March unveiling.
