HTC Software Updates Plan Promises Sense 6 For One & One Max [Leak]

A leaked HTC software updates plan has revealed that the original One and One max will receive Sense 6 upgrades later this year. It also reveals that the handsets next in line for an Android 4.4.2 KitKat update are the Butterfly S, the original Butterfly, the Desire 601, and the Desire 700.

The updates plan was published by LlabTooFer, a very reliable source of HTC leaks, and it details the Taiwanese company’s Android update plans for 16 different smartphones. As you can see in the table below, a whole host of them won’t be updated past Android 4.3 Jelly Bean — but there’s good news for those with more recent flagships.

Both the HTC One and the One max will get HTC’s new Sense 6 user interface — expected to make its debut alongside the Desire 8 next week — in the late summer or early fall. However, there are no plans to bring the update to any other devices just yet.

We should bear in mind, though, that this plan is not final. So unless it specifically states a certain update is “not planned” or “cancelled” for your device, there’s still a chance it will be updated later on. LlabTooFer also notes that the dates mentioned in the plan are subject to change.
