Sprint employee training material for the Galaxy Nexus leaked today suggesting the possibility of it launching before Sprint’s 4G LTE network. According to the training docs, the Sprint Galaxy Nexus will have 4G LTE switched off by default. It makes sense to have LTE switched off if you don’t yet have a network to support it, but it could also be to avoid having users in non-LTE markets (which will be many) from experiencing adverse battery drain — as the material suggests. The odds of you being in a Sprint LTE area once it launches is pretty slim anyways so I’m guessing Sprint customers probably won’t care about it being switched off.

Google has been rumored to release its own branded tablet for quite awhile now. The company, which isn’t seeing the tablet sales it’d like, has been rumored to partner with either Samsung or Asus to manufacture the tablet and have a “pure” Android experience on it — much like the Galaxy Nexus and Nexus S. If you’re a regular reader of Android blogs, you may have noticed the reports of Samsung direct offering a free extended battery to those who purchase a Verizon Samsung Galaxy Nexus. At first glance it doesn’t sound like that bad of a deal. I mean, if you’re planning on purchasing a Samsung Galaxy Nexus on Verizon anyways, why not get a free extended battery out of the deal, right? Wrong. We pretty know everything there is to know about Sprint’s first 4G LTE handset, the Galaxy Nexus, except the price and launch date. Verizon customers, and customers on various networks worldwide, have already been graced with the Galaxy Nexus, but now its Sprint’s turn. There’s no question mobile cameras have advanced tremendously over the years and they’ve even become a main feature focus for many consumers and manufacturers. One such example is the hype over the HTC One X camera.
