Only last week, Three U.K. announced that Samsung’s latest Android tablet would be available to purchase in the “near future,” and now today it has officially launched the Galaxy Note 8.0 on a wide range of data-only contracts.
Now that EE is already providing 4G LTE services in the U.K., and Vodafone and O2 are scheduled to launch their own 4G networks at the end of this month, Three was the only major carrier yet to announce its rollout plans.
But the company has today confirmed that it is on track to launch 4G during the fourth quarter of this year, and that it will come at no extra cost to consumers.
O2 has today confirmed the price of its 4G price plans ahead of their rollout next Thursday, August 29. The carrier’s SIM-only plans will start from £26 ($40) per month, while those that are tied to a 4G handset start from £32 ($49) per month. All of O2’s 4G plans will also come bundled with free music, sport, and game content.
The white Nexus 4 recently reappeared on sale in the U.K., and now the limited edition handset is available to purchase from Wind Mobile in Canada. The device has exactly the same specifications as the original black model, the only difference being a new lick of shiny white paint on the back and sides.
