Following its launch in the U.S. a couple of months ago, Wikipad has today published a press release stating that its new 7-inch gaming tablet will finally be available to purchase in the U.K. from September 27, for £249.99.

The Wikipad packs a 7-inch capacitive touchscreen (1280 x 800), a NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor optimized for Cloud gaming with a 12-core NVIDIA GPU, 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage (expandable to 64GB via microSD).

The tablet also features a partial housing attachment equipped with a full set of gaming controls, including dual-analog sticks, action triggers and bumper buttons, all of which have been designed and tested to fit perfectly in your hands.

The long-awaited slate will be available “from a number of well-known retailers at launch,” via Wikipad’s official distribution partner MSE.

Consumers based in the U.K. will have access to over 700,00 business, entertainment and game applications from the Google Play Store, Playstation Mobile Games, and TegraZone. A full list of controller-compatible games is available here.
