If you’re a regular reader of Android blogs, you may have noticed the reports of Samsung direct offering a free extended battery to those who purchase a Verizon Samsung Galaxy Nexus. At first glance it doesn’t sound like that bad of a deal. I mean, if you’re planning on purchasing a Samsung Galaxy Nexus on Verizon anyways, why not get a free extended battery out of the deal, right? Wrong. Before you go dropping your hard earned cash on this “deal,” I figured I had a duty to inform you guys that there are much better deals out there for getting both a Verizon Samsung Galaxy Nexus and an extended battery.


When the mega-hit game Temple Run launched on Android, people jumped at the chance to play this highly addicting endless running game. In fact, Temple Run was downloaded a whopping 1 million times in just three days. Unfortunately, the excitement didn’t last very long for some users (including myself) due to random crashes. It was quite frustrating. I was itching to collect coins, outrun evil monkeys, and slide under arcs of fire. Only problem was — the game would reset after every run. Thankfully the team at Imangi Studios heard the cries of anxious adventurers and quickly pushed out an update.

Many Android users became excited, when three days ago, popular iOS game Temple Run made its official debut on Android. The app has seen great success on the iTunes App Store and looks to be seeing similar success on the Play Store. Today, it’s been revealed that Temple Run for Android has been downloaded a whopping 1 million times, in only three days.


There’s no question mobile cameras have advanced tremendously over the years and they’ve even become a main feature focus for many consumers and manufacturers. One such example is the hype over the HTC One X camera. HTC has made a pretty big deal over their new ImageSense software as well as the custom ImageChip, f/2.0 lens, HDR technology, and super fast capture. We’ve seen a few sample photos, some good, some bad, but what about some real world tests against a couple device also known for their camera prowess?


While it feels like HTC has something to prove with their new One series of smartphones, they want us to know that it’s not about them, but about every one of us. Their latest ad shows us the beauty of individuality and the fact that no one person is alike. They want us to know they’re listening and have built their new One series around us. Many HTC fans have been patiently waiting for HTC to bring back the brilliance that made them fall in love with their products and we think the One series reflects every aspect of what HTC once was and will continue to be.
