galaxy-s-iii-3

I just finished writing about how expensive the Galaxy Gear will be when it launches in the U.K. later this month, but Samsung’s new high-security Galaxy S III, which is now available in Germany, makes its Android-powered smartwatch look like something from a bargain bin.

The device will cost €1,700 ($2,243) with a two-year contract.

Xbox-Music-Android

Microsoft has today launched Xbox Music on Android and iOS almost a year after the music streaming service made its debut alongside Windows 8. The apps allow subscribers to stream tens of millions of songs straight to their mobile devices, and create playlists that sync across your smartphone, tablet, PC, and Xbox 360.

Microsoft has also updated its Xbox Music web app to offer free, ad-supported streaming for all.

New-PayPal-Android

It doesn’t seem like it was that long ago when PayPal last overhauled its mobile apps with a brand new user interface, but in a new update for Android and iOS this week, the company has changed its look again.

The “bold new design” is a much better fit for Android’s Holo user interface guidelines, while its lack of virtual stitching a fake leather will surely please those upgrading to iOS 7 later this month.

They’re called the QX100 and the QX10, and you can see exactly what they’ll look like in the leaked press images above — and exactly how they’ll work in the leaked TV ad below.

bbm-android

We’ve been eagerly anticipating the launch of BBM for Android since BlackBerry announced it back in May, but the Canadian company has done a pretty good job of keeping the app close to its chest ahead of its public launch. So aside from a few leaked screenshots, we really had no idea what it would look like or how it would perform.

But that’s no longer the case, thanks to the hands-on tour video below.
