As the undisputed King of Internet Video, it’s kind of hard for YouTube to make any big changes without the public noticing, but over the last 10 days, YouTube has slowly rolled out a redesigned logo, first on its iOS and Android apps, and now to Twitter and Facebook as well.

The new logo ditches the old, thick, bubbly font that’s been in use since the company first started out in 2005, for a flatter, more simplified look that prominently features the YouTube Play button. Curiously, YouTube hasn’t rolled out the new logo to its website yet, nor announced any official changes, but now that it’s in the official YouTube apps, it looks like it’s safe to say this change will be permanent.

Here’s a higher-res version of the new logo:

Imo Messenger, the messaging service that now boasts over 10 million users worldwide, has today received a nice new update on Android and iOS. In addition to free video calling on both platforms, the new release adds the ability to share broadcasts to your favorite social networks on iOS, and makes the app a universal release with support for both iPhone and iPad.

Repix-Android

Repix, a popular image editing app that’s been downloaded over 4 million times in just five months on iOS, today makes its debut on Android. Unlike most image editing apps, which simply slap a fancy filter over your photos, Repix gives you the freedom to apply stunning effects as you see fit, using one of 30 carefully handcrafted brushes as much or as little as you like.

BBM-BlackBerry-Messenger

I don’t think I’ve ever downloaded an app that comes with an instruction manual, but it seems BlackBerry felt the need to create one for its upcoming BBM releases for Android and iOS. We’re expecting the apps themselves to arrive any day now, but the user guides have been leaked and they are already available for reading online.

Dragon Age and its sequel (cleverly named Dragon Age 2) have provided PC and console gamers with deep, solid role playing set in an original fantasy world with engaging characters and a wide array of choices to make in storytelling and combat.

While the overarching story is what makes these games work so very well, the combat system, especially in the first game, is unique and compelling to play.

That makes the announcement of a new spinoff of the well-reviewed series, coming to Google Play and iTunes this fall, pretty darn spiffy, as Heroes of Dragon Age seems to focus solely on combat.
