Climatology

Here’s a new Android app you weren’t expecting: Climatology from Microsoft, a unique weather service that provides climate information for anywhere on Earth. It won’t provide you with a forecast for the week ahead, but it will help you plan a dry vacation or avoid rain when choosing your wedding date.

LG-G-Watch

The LG G Watch has been on sale through Google Play for just two weeks, and already it has its first custom ROM. In addition to increasing the intensity of the watch’s vibration motor, the software brings welcome performance improvements and better battery life.

Google has removed almost all of last year’s Google Play Edition devices from Google Play, including the Xperia Z Ultra, the HTC One M7, and the LG G Pad 8.3. The only 2013 devices that remain are the Moto G and the Samsung Galaxy S4, but the latter is currently out of stock and has been for some time.

Flopsy-Droid

I’d have put good money on Android Wear’s first game being a Flappy Bird clone. Google Play has been inundated with them since the incredible success of the original title, and so it seemed inevitable that someone, somewhere, would be working hard to be the first to bring a flappy game to Google’s new wearable platform.

It’s called Flopsy Droid, and it’s a free download that’s compatible with both the LG G Watch and the Samsung Gear Live.

Fenix-Google-Play

Fenix, the best third-party Twitter client for Android, has returned to Google Play after regaining its ability to upload tweets. The app had to be pulled on Monday after Twitter randomly began blocking its ability to post new tweets, but the issue has finally been restored and Fenix has been republished.
