The Samsung Galaxy S4 Black Edition made its way to South Korea and Russia not too long ago. And now the handset has made its way to the UK, just as the region gears up for the launch of the Galaxy S5 next month. Samsung originally promised that the smartphone will only be rolled out in select markets, so the handset might not make its way to other regions around the world.

Verizon Wireless has just listed the 2014 Edition Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 on its website with a relatively steep price tag. This tablet was launched back last year during the IFA event along with the Galaxy Note 3. The variant launched by the carrier comes with the 2.3 GHz quad core Snapdragon 800 SoC as it supports LTE.

HTC-Windows-Phone

Microsoft has reportedly made its Windows Phone operating system free to select handset manufacturers in an effort to gain ground on Android and iOS.

Both Xolo and Karbonn — two smartphone makers based in India — recently signed deals with Microsoft that will allow them to launch Windows Phone devices free from license fees, according to sources speaking to The Times of India.

LG G3

There has been plenty of talk about the upcoming LG G3 handset which is all set for an unveiling in a couple of months from now. Today, a Twitter source has managed to gather more details on this handset thanks to a User Agent Profile leak. This reveals the smartphone carrying the model number LG D850 and packing a 2K resolution display, although the size wasn’t mentioned.

Lenovo

A new report out of Taiwan suggests that Chinese manufacturer Lenovo could soon become the next big thing in the Android industry. It is said that the company is on its way to overtake LG to claim the No. 2 spot as the leading Android smartphone manufacturer. The sources credit the acquisition of Motorola Mobility for the expected surge in marketshare.
