Samsung Galaxy S5 Pre-Orders Kick Off March 28 In The U.K.

Samsung has confirmed that its new Galaxy S5 will be available to pre-order in the United Kingdom from Friday, March 28, ahead of its April 11 launch. Fans can register their interest in the device on Samsung’s website to receive a reminder email when the big day arrives.

All of the major networks in the U.K. will be offering the Galaxy S5, including EE, Three, and Vodafone. You’ll be able to get the handset directly from them, or through third-party retailers like Carphone Warehouse and Phones 4U. Samsung stores will also be selling it.

Samsung hasn’t confirmed the Galaxy S5’s price tag yet, but you can expect it to be around the £600 ($1,000) mark SIM-free — just like rival high-end flagships. We’ll know more on March 28.

The Galaxy S5 features a 5.1-inch 1080p display, a quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor, 2GB of RAM, and up to 32GB of internal storage. It also boasts a microSD card slot, a 16-megapixel rear-facing camera with 2K video recording, a built-in heartbeat sensor, and a fingerprint scanner.
