The Samsung Galaxy S4 Black Edition made its way to South Korea and Russia not too long ago. And now the handset has made its way to the UK, just as the region gears up for the launch of the Galaxy S5 next month. Samsung originally promised that the smartphone will only be rolled out in select markets, so the handset might not make its way to other regions around the world.

The handset costs a whopping £499.89 without a contract and if you’re not looking to shell out a lot up front, you can pick carrier based plans starting from £29 every month, courtesy of Vodafone.

This variant of the 2013 Samsung flagship is basically the same in terms of hardware, but comes with the Galaxy Note 3 style faux leather back cover with the stitch pattern on the sides. So customers are merely paying a premium for the new back cover. Considering the price and the imminent arrival of a successor, it might not be feasible to get the device at this point.
