Starting today, you can finally order Motorola’s flagship smartphone, the Moto X, with some great new wooden finishes from the company’s MotoMaker website. For an additional $25 on top of the usual price tag, customers can choose for Moto to attach either an ebony, walnut or teak backplate.

The device will feature an 8-inch display and could be powered by an Intel Bay Trail-T processor, and it’s likely to be built by Asus, which already makes the slightly smaller Nexus 7.

One of the downsides to Samsung’s Galaxy Gear is that it’s only officially compatible with the South Korean company’s own family of smartphones, but a new workaround allows Nexus 5 to add Galaxy Gear support to their own handset themselves.

Samsung’s new Galaxy S5 will make its debut on Sunday, February 23, one day before Mobile World Congress 2014, according to respected Russian tipster Eldar Murtazin.

The device is expected to introduce a new TouchWiz user interface on top of Android 4.4 KitKat, as well as new high-end specifications, an improved rear-facing camera, faster processors, and possibly even iris scanning technology that will allow users to unlock the device with their eyes.

XOLO launched its new mid-range Android-powered smartphone, the Q700S, in India today, which the popular Indian manufacturer hopes will rise to the top of the Asian ultra-affordable market in the not-too-distant future. The handset comes in either a silver or gold metallic finish and is available to purchase for 9,999 Indian Rupees, which is approximately $162.
