Moto X Now Available With Additional Wood Finishes

Starting today, you can finally order Motorola’s flagship smartphone, the Moto X, with some great new wooden finishes from the company’s MotoMaker website. For an additional $25 on top of the usual price tag, customers can choose for Moto to attach either an ebony, walnut or teak backplate.

“Featuring natural finishes and distinct grains, these wood backs are undeniably unique and provide a whole new level of sophisticated customization for your smartphone,” writes Motorola in a blog post published last Friday. “Every wood grain is different, so every phone is too — just like you!”

The Moto X packs a gorgeous 4.7-inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels (coated with Corning Gorilla Glass for added protection), a Qualcomm MSM8960Pro Snapdragon powered by two 1.7GHz Krait CPU’s, an Adreno 320 GPU, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of flash memory, a 10-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 2,200 mAh Li-Ion battery.
