We simply love wallpapers. They’re one of the first changes we make to our Android devices and often represent our moods, interests, or wicked alter egos. They’re as unique as the individuals who use them and while some people pick one and stick with it, others change them more often than a teenager’s Facebook status. Each day we’re going to feature a free wallpaper for you to download and use on your Android device. Depending on your device, you may want to use your favorite photo editing software to resize the image for a better fit. Once that’s done, apply and enjoy. Your homescreen can thank us later. Cheers!

In a mobile industry that’s simply booming, there’s only two phone vendors reaping the majority of the benefits: Samsung and Apple. In Q1 of 2012, Apple and Samsung combined for 99% of mobile phone vendor profits — the remaining 1% belonged to HTC. Independently, Apple holds the lion’s share of profits with an incredible 73% of operating profits thanks to carrier premiums for the iPhone 4S. Samsung, while leading in mobile phone shipments, only grabbed 26% operating profits — which isn’t really that bad considering every other carrier (other than HTC) managed to face significant losses.

The sign-up page for the Samsung Galaxy S III has gone live, allowing users to register for up-to-date information (for before-the-date information follow an Android blog such as CoA) regarding the Samsung Galaxy S III U.S. launch. It’s interesting to see all major and regional carriers listed under the “carrier preference” drop-down menu and this indicates Samsung plans to bring the Galaxy S III to as many U.S. carriers as possible. Whether or not these carriers will feature the device, and at what dates, remains anyone’s guess — although Samsung did say it would hit the U.S. sometime in the summer.

Temple Run has seen much success since being launched on Android and the developers have been doing a great job at keeping the app updated and fixing any bugs that arise. Today they released another update, this time not only squashing a few bugs, but also adding the much anticipated Temple Run wallpapers. It’s not so much the wallpapers we’re excited about but the fact that we can now move forward with completing the Interior Decorator objective we’ve been hung up on.

In case you’ve been unplugged from the web today, Samsung announced the Galaxy S III along with its slew of features and content. We’ve already told you about the Flipboard deal, but it appears Samsung also made some arrangements for Galaxy S III owners to pick up 50GBs worth of Dropbox storage.
