As is typical of Verizon every holiday season, they have gone ahead and updated their return policy to reflect an extended period for holiday purchases. Any new device purchased from Verizon between November 22 and December 25, 2012 may be returned or exchanged through January 15, 2013.

Best Buy is reportedly gearing up to reduce the Samsung Galaxy S III — this year’s hottest Android-powered smartphone — to just $50 on December 16. That’s a massive reduction to the Korean company’s most successful smartphone, and it most cases it’ll get you at least $100 off its regular retail price.

We knew it was coming, as the product page went live on Samsung a mere four days ago, however, it’s now official. Verizon has announced the Samsung Galaxy Camera with 4G LTE for a whopping $549 (not including data).

Verizon has responded to an FCC complaint about their shameless blocking of the Google Wallet application, and as expected, has placed the blame on Google. Not only did they place the blame on Google, but they actually denied blocking the app in the first place. It’s actually quite comical to read their response:

Samsung decided to take a stab at the connected camera market with its Android-powered Galaxy Camera. Originally released on AT&T, this Jelly Bean toting, quad-core processing (yes, a quad-core camera) point-and-shoot was met with much skepticism. With the quality of smartphone cameras getting better with each iteration, many consider it unnecessary to carry another device.
