Verizon Announces The Samsung Galaxy Camera With 4G LTE For $549

We knew it was coming, as the product page went live on Samsung a mere four days ago, however, it’s now official. Verizon has announced the Samsung Galaxy Camera with 4G LTE for a whopping $549 (not including data).

The Galaxy Camera is expected to be available this Thursday, December 13th, and come in both the classic White as well as an exclusive Cobalt Black. If you haven’t seen the specs yet, the Galaxy Camera features:

  • 23mm f/2.8 lens with 21x optical zoom
  • 4.7-inch HD Super Clear Touch Display at 308ppi
  • ISO from 100 up to 3200
  • 4G LTE
  • A 1.4GHz Quad-core processor
  • 8GB onboard storage, expandable via microSD
  • HDMI out
  • A-GPS
  • Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity
  • 1650mAh battery

The 4G LTE model is a bit more expensive than AT&T’s HSPA+, but no matter which price point you look at, they both seem a bit of a stretch for a product such as this. However, if you do find the urge to splurge, Verizon will allow you to add the Camera to your Share Everything Plan for the promotional price of $5 a month.

Say cheese!
