HTC’s midrange Desire 601 handset is now available in red in the United Kingdom, exclusively through O2. Customers can pick up the affordable 4G smartphone online or from O2 stores throughout the country from today.

HTC-One-max-black

HTC has announced a new black HTC One max that makes its debut in Hong Kong today. As you might have guessed, it looks identical to the black HTC One, save for its rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and significantly larger display, and it carries the same specifications as the original One max.

Oppo-N1-international

Oppo’s flagship N1 handset, which went on sale in China in late September, is going global on December 10. The device is fully equipped to compete with the latest flagships — packing a 5.9-inch 1080p display, a quad-core Snapdragon 600 processor, and a 13-megapixel camera — and it’ll cost $599 in the U.S. and €449 in Europe.

HTC-One-white-front

HTC has confirmed that the latest Android 4.3 Jelly Bean software will be available for the HTC One Developer Edition by the end of this month. Given that there are now just five days left in September, I think it’s pretty safe to say we may well see the update — which delivers “the latest Sense experience” — this week.

HTC-Zara

Lots of rumors have emerged over the course of the past three weeks, as well as a leaked press render on Twitter, suggesting that HTC is developing a plastic-bodied device similar to the company’s flagship smartphone. And now over the weekend a new tweet has surfaced giving us reason to believe that the device, which has been referred to as ‘Zara’ for the past few weeks, could actually be named the ‘Desire 601’.
