HTC Zara To Ship As ‘Desire 601’

HTC-Zara

Lots of rumors have emerged over the course of the past three weeks, as well as a leaked press render on Twitter, suggesting that HTC is developing a plastic-bodied device similar to the company’s flagship smartphone. And now over the weekend a new tweet has surfaced giving us reason to believe that the device, which has been referred to as ‘Zara’ for the past few weeks, could actually be named the ‘Desire 601’.

According to many recent leaks and rumors, the ‘Desire 601’ is expected to pack a 4.5-inch qHD display, a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, an 8-megapixel camera (not UltraPixel), 8GB of internal storage (upgradable to 32GB via MicroSD), BoomSound with Beats Audio integration, and a 2,100 mAh battery.

Arguably, the main selling point of this device will be its software. According to @Evleaks, the ‘Desire 601’ will be the first HTC handset to ship with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, and the latest version of HTC Sense (V5.5) pre-installed.

The device is rumored to be announced during the fourth quarter of this year – which starts from this month – so we don’t have too much longer to wait until we know more about the ‘Desire 601’.
