We’re only moments away from Day 1 of Google Google I/O 2012 but that doesn’t mean the leaks have to stop. The Verge managed to snatch a look at a Google Nexux 7 banner to be displayed on the Google Play Store and boy is it, well… you can be the judge. All I can say is holy bezel Batman! I’ve talked with a few people who don’t see an issue, but personally, I’m a bit disappointed.

It’s almost time, and I’m giddy with excitement. There should be plenty to talk about today, but for those who want to join us for the live Day 1 Keynote, we’ve embedded the live stream for all of you to watch. We’re guessing it’ll start with a little history/boasting by Vic Gundotra (who I’m expecting to be wearing Google’s glasses). We certainly can’t wait, so head on past the break to see what time the event will start in your time zone and then join us for all the Jelly Bean fun.

Not only will this bring all you RAZR users up to date with Ice Cream Sandwich, but it will also make the DROID RAZR and RAZR MAXX the first 4G LTE smartphones on the Verizon Wireless network to be Global Ready.

Flipboard debuted on the Samsung Galaxy S III and was supposed to have an exclusive run until someone grabbed the apk and released it to the masses. Soon after, Flipboard figured they might as well put it out there themselves to see how it performed on various devices. That’s when they launched an open-beta for Android users and everything seemed to go off without a hitch. They’re now confident enough to officially launch the magazine-styled reader onto the Play Store for all to enjoy.
