Google is working on a competitor to Amazon Prime, according to a new report on TechCrunch. Amazon Prime is a subscription service that gives customers free two-day shipping, unlimited access to Amazon Instant Video, and the ability to borrow Kindle books.

A Google version of Prime would offer same-day deliveries from larger retailers and even be slightly cheaper than what Amazon offers.

Google updated its Google Play support pages over the weekend, and it added mentions of Google Play gift cards for the United Kingdom. At the time, however, they were only on sale in the U.S., and they couldn’t be found on the other side of the Atlantic.

But today that’s all changed — Google Play gift cards are now available from retailers in the U.K.

Google is preparing to take on companies like Spotify and Rdio with a new YouTube music streaming service, according to sources in the record industry, who have been speaking to Fortune. The service, which is expected to launch later this year, could be available for free, but there will be subscription options for those who don’t like to see advertisements.

Opera’s new web browser based on the WebKit rendering engine is now available in beta form for users with Android devices. The beta gives us a taste of Opera’s first WebKit browser, which comes after the company announced earlier this month that it will be dropping its own Presto rendering engine this year.

Google first introduced its Google Play gift cards to the United States back in August 2012, but almost eight months later, the company is yet to roll them out to other markets. According to a new Google Play support page, however, that’s about to change, and Android users in the United Kingdom should expect to see them soon.
