A new concept by product designer Samuel Herb shows the vast potential of Google’s Project Ara modular smartphone, which will start hitting the markets in early 2015. This concept appeals to the gamers and shows a hinged controller with a complete set of gaming buttons available on the front along with the traditional R and L buttons on the back of the device.

Koushik Dutta a.k.a Koush, today, rolled out an update for AllCast that adds support for Amazon’s Fire TV. This update will allow AllCast users to mirror the content of their Android devices to Amazon’s Fire TV as well as beam music, videos and photos to it.

HTC has been trying to re-invent mobile cameras using its UltraPixel camera sensors in its flagship handsets. While the company’s effort has not been appreciated by all, it is definitely heading in the right direction.

Now, in an interview with Vodafone U.K., HTC’s camera expert, Symon Whitehorn, revealed some interesting tidbits about the future of UltraPixel and how the smartphone camera scene is going to change dramatically in the next 12-18 months.

Advanced camera mode, wide angle mode, video effects, and photo sphere live wallpapers are just some of the features buried inside the code for Google’s new Camera app for Android. While currently inactive, the features should be made available in future updates.

Following a fortnight of rumors and speculation, Google has now uploaded it’s official Camera application to the Play Store, much to our surprise we’re seeing a completely redesigned user interface, along with an array of new effects, high resolution panoramas and a nifty 100% viewfinder.
