Google may not be bringing Android 4.4 KitKat to the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, but it’s still supporting newer Nexus devices. So you’re probably wondering when the update will be coming to your Nexus 4, Nexus 7, or Nexus 10. Well, Google hasn’t given us a specific release date yet, but it has said “soon.”

The Google Play editions of the Galaxy S4 and the HTC One are on its list, too.

Google was pretty busy yesterday, as well as unveiling its much-anticipated flagship smartphone of 2013, the Nexus 5, the team at Mountain View also updated the case offerings for its latest tablet – the Nexus 7 and its latest Chromebook – the HP Chromebook 11.

The wait is finally over — the new Nexus 5 with Android 4.4 KitKat is now available to order through Google Play. The device is a lot like LG’s flagship G2 on the inside, featuring a 4.95-inch 1080p display, LTE connectivity, and a speedy Snapdragon 800 processor. It’s a heck of a lot cheaper, though, with prices starting at $349.

Google may be taunting us by holding onto its Android 4.4 launch event for as long as it possibly can, but there are plenty of signs to suggest it’s right around the corner. In addition to the countless Nexus 5 leaks, we’ve also seen leaked screenshots and some teasers. But the latest sign is a whole bunch of updates for Google’s own Android apps, which have begun rolling out today.

iFruit-Android

iFruit, the GTA V companion app, is finally available to download on Android, more than a month after the game made its debut on consoles. The free app allows you to log into the Rockstar Games Social Club and customize cars in Los Santos Customs, interact with Chop the dog, and more.
