A recent discovery by Google+ user François Beaufort has unveiled Google’s plans to eventually bring Google Now to Chrome. There is already a “skeleton for Google Now for Chrome” in place, and even Google themselves responded by saying:

“Google confirmed that it’s working on the project but stopped short of committing to it. “We’re always experimenting with new features in Chrome, so have nothing to announce at this time,” spokeswoman Jessica Kositz said.

Google Now is by far one of the coolest features introduced in Android 4.1, and it just got better. A recent update to the Google Search app for Android 4.1+ brings a few new cards and voice actions to an already fabulous app. Holiday travelers and Google+ users will especially appreciate it.

It’s about time.

Galaxy S III owners in Canada have just been treated to an early Christmas gift, courtesy of Samsung. The company is now — finally! — rolling out its Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update over-the-air to those on Bell, Rogers, TELUS, and Virgin.

The long running science and technology magazine with 58 awards under its belt has just crowned Google Now the software innovation of the year. A well deserved award for software that virtually reads your mind, feeding you the information you need before you need it and without you having to ask for it. It’s borderline creepy, but once you get over the whole “Google knows everything about me,” it’s actually an extremely useful tool to have.

Many Google Now users are being treated to an unexpected surprise: a card that shows you how many miles you’ve walked or biked in any particular month. This is most likely the first month this features has begun tracking but it’s a handy dandy tool to keep track of just how much exercise you’ve been getting. As of right now, reports of accuracy are mixed, but we’re guessing this is due to no one knowing exactly when Google activated the feature.
