HTC has developed its own alternative to accessories like the Samsung S View cover and LG QuickWindow folio for the upcoming “All New HTC One.” The Taiwanese company’s new case sports dozens of tiny holes in its front cover that offer a peek at the time, the weather, and other handy information.

And the HTC leaks certainly don’t stop there today. A reliable source also promises that the new HTC One will also be available as a Google Play Edition device.

HTC sent out invitations to its Desire 8 unveiling in Beijing earlier this week, but thanks to @Evleaks, we don’t need to wait any longer for its full list of specifications. As expected, the device will a 5.5-inch SuperLCD2 display with a 720p resolution, and it’ll powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor.

The midrange handset will also debut HTC’s new Sense 6 user interface — presumably on top of Android 4.4 KitKat — and it will be available in a whole host of pretty colors.

So we’re fairly certain now that the second-generation HTC One will be named the “All New HTC One” — not the One Plus or the One 2 or the M8 — and that it’ll be available in gray, silver, and gold. And thanks to this leaked press photo published by @Evleaks today, we know exactly what the latter will look like.

The Finnish firm has today confirmed that it will be live-streaming the announcement via the Nokia website.

A sample image taken with Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S5 all but confirms that the new handset will feature a 16-megapixel real-facing camera. The otherwise boring photograph was taken with a “Samsung-SM-G900A,” according to its accompanying EXIF data, and it boasts a 5312×2988 resolution.
