Pushbullet

Earlier today, Pushbullet announced that it’s teamed up with EvolveSMS to furnish users the ability to view and reply to text messages they receive on their Android-powered smartphone, directly from their PC or Mac — So users will no longer have to touch their phone in order to read and respond to messages, just like the service Motorola offers with its exclusive Connect suite.

Google updated its Chrome Beta app for Android this week, adding support for Chromecast streaming and a new feature that lets you undo closed tabs — making it quick and easy to go back to webpages you accidentally closed.

Pebble-Simplicity-face

Following its launch on the Play Store last month, Pebble is now pushing out its third major update for the beta version of its Pebble 2.0 application for Android. The upgrade doesn’t bring anything new in terms of functionality, but, thankfully, it does bring fixes for nearly all of the ‘most annoying bugs’ and only leaves one known issue unaddressed.

The official Flappy Bird might well be dead, but if you thought that was the last you’d see of it, you can think again.

Since the game’s creator announced it would be pulled over the weekend, countless clones have been popping up all over the place. Even the Pebble smartwatch has one called Tiny Bird, and it’s available now for free through the Pebble appstore.

CoA-CES-2014 Yahoo!’s new News Digest app wasn’t the only thing it had to announce at CES in Las Vegas this week; the company also confirmed its acquisition of Aviate for Android. Its first impact on the contextually-aware launcher was to open up another 25,000 beta spots to provide access to a wider audience.
