A new version of the extremely popular third-party keyboard application, Minuum, has now exited its beta testing phase and has today made its debut appearance on the Google Play Store. To celebrate its release , Whilscape, the developer behind this ‘revolutionary’ app, is currently offering customers a free 30-day trial, after which they’ll have to pay a one-time subscription fee of $3.99 if they wish to continue using the app.

Starbucks-Mobile

Starbucks has confirmed that it will be revamping its mobile app to add digital tipping and a new user interface later this month. The update will also bring a new “shake to pay” feature that will provide quick and easy access to your Starbucks Card barcode.

WhatsApp Update

A couple of weeks ago, we spoke of an update to the WhatsApp for Android application which would allow users to hide profile pictures, statuses or even the last seen info from fellow users. This update has just gone live in some regions and comes with a few other changes as well. The latest of the features is the ability to ‘sponsor’ a friend or a family member by paying for their subscription.

Pebble-apps

Many Android users weren’t too pleased to see the new Pebble appstore rolling out on iOS — and only iOS — earlier this month. The company had promised that Android users will get the same “very, very soon,” but almost ten days on, the update is still nowhere to be seen in Google Play.

Pebble’s lead software engineer, Kean Wong, has now taken to the company’s blog to try to explain the delay.

There is no shortage of recents app switching list on the Play Store. Apps like Switchr, Edge etc. allow users to set up a hotspot on the edge of the screen, swiping through which allow users access to the running apps, their favorite apps and the commonly used toggles.

The OmniROM team has also decided to bake in similar functionality in their ROM via their open-source implementation — OmniSwitch.
