Yesterday we told you about the amazing deal Wirefly had on the Galaxy Nexus for Verizon. We also told you to be on the lookout for Amazon Wireless to match that deal and sure enough they did. Anyone willing to sign up for a new two-year contract with Verizon can get a brand new Samsung Galaxy Nexus from Amazon Wireless for the ridiculously cheap price of $49.99.

You’ll be hard pressed trying to find a phone better than the Galaxy Nexus. While the majority of devices are poisoned by manufacturer skins, the Galaxy Nexus remains au natural — the way Google intended. There are many other benefits to owning a Nexus device, and while some carriers (*cough* Sprint *cough*) are still trying to launch the device, deal sites such as Amazon Wireless and Wirefly are practically giving them away. Both sites are currently offering up the Samsung Galaxy Nexus on Verizon for the incredible price of $80.

Amazon’s Wireless store has proved to be a great place for buying Android devices on the cheap. We often recommend their great deals, and today we have good news about the website. AmazonWireless is now dropping its beta-tag and is adding two new features that will be great for the customers. AmazonWireless will now feature price matching and will now give customers a Free Premium Apps bundle when a device is purchased.

If you’re a regular reader of Android blogs, you may have noticed the reports of Samsung direct offering a free extended battery to those who purchase a Verizon Samsung Galaxy Nexus. At first glance it doesn’t sound like that bad of a deal. I mean, if you’re planning on purchasing a Samsung Galaxy Nexus on Verizon anyways, why not get a free extended battery out of the deal, right? Wrong. Before you go dropping your hard earned cash on this “deal,” I figured I had a duty to inform you guys that there are much better deals out there for getting both a Verizon Samsung Galaxy Nexus and an extended battery.

I seriously can’t praise Amazon Wireless enough for the amazing deals they offer on smartphones. Anyone looking to purchase a phone should really consider checking out Amazon Wireless before making any decisions because they really do offer the best prices. In fact, throughout the month of March, every Sprint 4G smartphone is on sale for a penny. Not only can you get a new phone for a penny but if you purchase before March 19th, Amazon will also waive the activation fee (a $36 deal).
