Apple co-founder and former CEO Steve Jobs threatened Palm CEO Edward Colligan with patent litigation if he did not agree to stop poaching Apple employees, according to a court filing that was made public on Tuesday.

Confidential emails between the pair, along with documents from Adobe and Google, have surfaced in a civil lawsuit that claims a number of major companies in Silicon Valley violated antitrust rules by entering into agreements not to recruit each other’s employees. Five employees are now fighting for class action status and damages for lost wages as a result of the “no-hire” agreements.


Adobe Reader for Android and iOS received a hefty update today, adding a slew of new features and enhancing performance across the board. Adobe may have stopped development on its mobile Flash but it certainly hasn’t stopped updating it to ensure compatibility and security. Both Adobe Flash and AIR received updates today, bringing with them bug fixes, enhancements, and compatibility fixes for Android 4.0. Of course, Adobe lists the complete changelog on their website, but the the updates essentially include:

Earlier in the month Adobe updated its Flash Player to include support for Android 4.0 and while Adobe has already announced its discontinuation of the mobile Flash platform, it will continue supporting the AIR platform. Today Adobe updated their AIR application to also include support for Ice Cream Sandwich along with a few performance improvements and bug fixes. This update is a relief to many Galaxy Nexus owners as well as the many owners whose devices will be receiving the ICS update within the next couple of months.
