Sony is trying to muster up some much needed attention for their first born Android tablet by dropping its price by $100. If you were considering a Sony Tablet S but held back because of price, now may be a good time to take the plunge. Both the 16GB and 32GB version have been discounted to $399.99 and $499.99 respectively. While it’s still a tough sell at this time — with both CES around the corner and the quad-core ASUS Transformer Prime in the market — it’s an option to think about. Acer is set to show off a couple A series tablets at CES next month. In a wild night of Russian site seeing, the Iconia Tab A200 and A700 were spotted knocking back a few shots of vodka in preparation for CES. While we’ve seen the “little brother” A200 before, this is our first good look at the powerhouse A700. It’s not every day you see a tablet transform into a, well, a Transformer. But that’s exactly what we’re going to show you today, after Xiaomi VP Hugo Barra shared photos of a Mi Pad 2 that morphs into a robot.

Fans of the Transformers universe, whether that be the original cartoons back in the 1980s or the more recent reboots of the franchise, will no doubt agree that this is about as awesome as the Mi Pad 2 gets.
