Acer Iconia A700 Shows Up In Russia, Headed To CES To Show Off Its 1920 x 1200 Face

Acer is set to show off a couple A series tablets at CES next month. In a wild night of Russian site seeing, the Iconia Tab A200 and A700 were spotted knocking back a few shots of vodka in preparation for CES. While we’ve seen the “little brother” A200 before, this is our first good look at the powerhouse A700. Sporting a Tegra 3 quad-core processor and a 10.1″ 1920 x 1200 resolution screen, the A700 is looking to steal the show. Other noted specs of the A700 include:

  • – SIM and micro-USB slots
  • – Micro-HDMI port
  • – Five megapixel camera with built-in flash
  • – Front facing camera capable of recording in HD
  • – Dolby Digital Plus’ advanced surround sound

The A700 is also said to be extremely thin and weigh in at 650 grams (1.43 pounds) with a battery that lasts around 10 hours between charges (we’ll believe it when we see it). The Acer Iconia A700 is looking to be a pretty solid competitor to the ASUS Transformer Prime and it will be interesting to see it in action next month at CES. The Acer Iconia A200 and A700 are on schedule for a March release and will hopefully be wearing some Ice Cream Sandwich.

We’ll be on the lookout for these devices at CES and will hopefully have some more info for you soon.
