I’m sure a lot of jurors are happy to finally be rid of what Judge William Alsup deemed “the longest trial, civil trial, I’ve ever been in.” Today, the jury reached a decision, exonerating Google by finding Android did not infringe on any of Oracle’s patents. This is great news for Google, Android, and the Java community in general. So you can all take a brief breather as Oracle will no doubt start the appeals and waste more money on high priced lawyers.
We’re continually being fed timeline updates for Android 4.0 updates but what we really want are actual updates — am I right? Unfortunately that’s just not the way it is, so… here’s another target timeline from HTC. HTC plans on having all confirmed devices updated to Android 4.0 by August 2012. That’s not to say itwon’t happen before then, just that they should be completed by then.

What!? Neither Cult publication has ever reviewed Monster’s famed Turbine earphones, even though the IEMs have been hanging on Best Buy end caps for the last several years? Well, that’s an injustice we won’t let stand another day — after all, these are among the best recognized, and most iconic IEMs on the market.
The Turbine is the base model in Monster’s Turbine lineup; though with an MSRP of $180, “base model” seems like a relative term (the two higher models, the Pro Gold and the Pro Copper, are $300 and $400 respectively and are apparently better at reproducing a wider range than the plain-wrapper Turbines reviewed here).
Today, Verizon Wireless announced that they will be releasing their mobile video aggregator, Viewdini, later this month. With Viewdini, users will be able to search through thousands of titles from leading content providers such as Netflix, Hulu Plus, mSpot, TV sites, movie studios, Comcast’s Xfinity TV, Verizon FiOS and cable operators. From there, users will be able to see if any videos are available and whether or not they are free or require a subscription, rental, or purchase.
