Galaxy-S5-hammer

No one likes to see a brand new smartphone being smashed to pieces unnecessarily, so this torture test video featuring a Galaxy S5 that fights back is the most enjoyable one you’ll find on YouTube. It looks like the handset is going to go down easily after several whacks with a large hammer — but it only takes one blow to the battery to send its abuser running in the opposite direction.

Tablets are fantastic little things, right? They entertain us, help us work, make life easier. But if distilled down to its purest essence, a tablet is simply a personal computer neatly tucked away behind an exceptionally portable screen. And if that’s true — that what makes the tablet so amazing is an amazingly portable screen (that, unlike a phone’s screen, is big enough to actually use for things like work, and movies) — then the fully-articulated Flote m2 tablet stand must be the most fantastic accessory you can buy for your tablet. Why? Because it delivers on the promise of being able to position a tablet screen anywhere and any damn way you please. With a few caveats, of course. And if you can afford it.

Galaxy-S5-waterproof

One of the best things about the Galaxy S5 is that you can get it wet. Not just a little bit wet, but completely soaking wet. It’s IP67 certified, which means you can literally take it swimming (up to 1 meter deep) or watch YouTube videos in the bath and it’s going to be just fine.

And just in case you were skeptical of Samsung’s claims, check out the video below, which puts the Galaxy S5’s waterproof form factor to the test in a swimming pool — and in a washing machine.

CM-founder-OnePlus-One

CyanogenMod founder Steve Kondik has been working with OnePlus on the company’s upcoming smartphone for months, and in a new teaser video uploaded to YouTube this week, he finally gets to see the new handset himself for the first time.

You can enjoy the “unboxing” video yourself below, but before you dive in, you should probably prepare yourself for disappointment.
