Amazon Prime Instant Video has finally arrived in Google Play, allowing those without Kindle Fire tablets to enjoy on-demand movies and TV shows on their Android-powered smartphones and tablets. The service is available to Prime customers in the U.S., the U.K., and other countries.

Amazon has discounted the Fire Phone to $0.99 on contract just three months after it first went on sale for $199. The move follows lukewarm reviews and a report that revealed less than 35,000 Fire Phones had been sold during its first two months of availability.

GameStop has formed a new partnership with Cricket Wireless that will see it selling smartphones in its more than 2,800 stores across the United States. Customers will be able to trade in their old phone, games consoles, and other electrical goods and put the credit towards the purchase of a new handset from Cricket.
