Verizon has today begun accepting pre-orders for the upcoming Moto 360 that ships with a stainless steel band. The device will be available in both silver and grey, and it will cost $299 with free shipping — that’s $50 more than the current leather-banded model, which went on sale just last week.

Motorola has confirmed that the new Moto X will not be available as a Developer Edition device on Verizon this time around. A GSM version is still expected for those on AT&T and T-Mobile, but those with a need for a CDMA version are out of luck.

UPDATE: The Fire Phone is now available to pre-order on O2.

The Amazon Fire Phone’s exclusivity to the U.S. market will be short-lived with the device set to go on sale in the U.K. later this month, just three months after it first made its debut. It’s expected to be exclusive to O2, and sources say an announcement could be made as early as this week.
