CyanogenMod founder Steve Kondik has announced that he has left his role as software engineer at Samsung after 19 months with the company. Kondik told his 36,000 followers on Google+ that “Samsung was great,” but that he has “just decided to do something new.” He also wrote a lengthy post praising the Galaxy S4 and its new features and specifications.

Even though Samsung’s Galaxy Note lineup includes a tablet with a 10.1″ screen, it seems the company doesn’t want to let its Galaxy Tab die out yet. According to an anonymous source, Samsung is working on the next generation of the Galaxy Tab which will feature an AMOLED display in both 7- and 10-inch models.

If you’re a fan of George R. R. Martin’s hit book series and accompanying TV show Game of Thrones, then you’ll want to download the official companion app. After coming to the iOS App Store last year, an Android version has been released just in time for the premiere of season 3 on HBO March 31st.

The “A World of Ice and Fire” app has a catalog of over 540 characters and 380 places. There’s also interactive maps of the different kingdoms to explore.

The company recently released a new Chrome Experiment that transforms any website of your choice into a playable marble maze. World Wide Maze breaks down the elements of a webpage, and processes these elements to create a floating obstacle course for you to navigate a marble through — using your smartphone as a controller.

Motorola Droid RAZR HD and MAXX HD owners have started receiving essential updates for their devices. This latest update will bump the devices up to Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean, with security patches from Google to act against new threats, and a fix for data roaming issues that some Droid owners have been having.
