Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Gear back in September as a companion device for its flagship Android-powered smartphone of 2013, the Galaxy Note 3. It’s safe to say that many people were amazed by the concept of having a wearable piece of technology which could be used to receive calls, check notifications and take pictures, but when we got our hands on the device, we were somewhat disappointed.

Adobe is in the process of pushing out a rather hefty update for its official Adobe Reader application on the Google Play Store. In addition to the usual bug fixes and speed optimizations, this upgrade brings a shedload of new features, including a completely redesigned file browser, new PDF export tools, Multi Window support and improved Text Search.

Nexus-4-KitKat

Google may not have started rolling out its new Android 4.4 KitKat update to the Nexus 4 yet, but it has already released the factory image, allowing those who don’t mind flashing ROMs themselves to perform the update manually.

BBM-Nexus-5

BlackBerry just rolled out another new update to BBM for Android, adding a handful of features that were brought to the iOS version back in October. Users now have the ability to organize contacts into categories, and sort and filter lists in BBM Groups. They can also invite friends to BBM.

Galaxy-Note-3-Gear

AT&T is in the process of rolling out a minor over-the-air (OTA) update for Samsung’s flagship smartphone of 2013, the monstrous Galaxy Note 3. Although it does not bring the eagerly awaited Android 4.4 KitKat to the handset, it’s still quite an important stability update that we would advise all users to download.
