Jawbone today updated its official Android companion app to finally deliver support for the Jawbone UP24. Version 3.0 of the UP app lets you wirelessly sync the company’s latest activity tracker to monitor things like sleep, exercise, and more.

A couple of weeks ago, we spoke of an update to the WhatsApp for Android application which would allow users to hide profile pictures, statuses or even the last seen info from fellow users. This update has just gone live in some regions and comes with a few other changes as well. The latest of the features is the ability to ‘sponsor’ a friend or a family member by paying for their subscription.

Talon, one of our favorite Twitter clients available for Android, just got a brand new update that delivers dozens of new features. In addition to design and interface improvements, there’s a new Discover section, picture galleries embedded in user profiles, two new transparent widgets, and lots more.

The Samsung Galaxy S4 on T-Mobile is now getting the Android 4.4 update, much to the joy of the users. The update is available as an OTA and will require devices to be running Android 4.3 (software version M919UVUEMK2) to be eligible. The update can also be flashed through Samsung Kies software on your computer, but the OTA is preferred for its convenience.

A couple of months later than expected, Sony has now started pushing out the much-anticipated Android 4.4.2 KitKat over-the-air update to all unlocked variants of its flagship smartphone phablet of 2013, the Xperia Z Ultra, located in the United States. In addition to the latest build of the open-source operating system, this upgrade also brings improved battery efficiency and enhanced call quality.
