According to reports from Twitter, the music subscription service Rdio, appears to have secretly launched in the U.K. and France. While Rdio has yet to chime in on the subject, users in those locations are now able to sign up for a free 7-day trial of unlimited listening. Everything seems to work, although I’m hearing quite a few people in the U.K. are unable to stream or download a significant number of albums (probably why we haven’t heard an official announcement from Rdio).


While the rest of us wait to get our hands on a bastardized version of the HTC One, our friends across the pond can pick up the real McCoy today from their favorite carrier. UK carriers O2, Vodafone, Three, Orange, and T-Mobile are all taking orders online as well as selling these One series phones inside their brick-and-mortar compounds. Prices and plans will of course vary depending on carrier, so do your research and see which is best for you.


You may remember the ARCHOS 35 Smart Home Phone we showed you last month, you know, the home phone with Android on it. Well, it’s now available to purchase in the UK, and the 8GB model will set you back £129.98, including taxes. The ARCHOS 35 takes the “smart” from smartphone, and puts it into your home phone.
