Our beloved Google Play has joined the Twittersphere and they’re ready to tweet all the great promotions, content and updates they can fit into 140 characters. Their first tweet was the customary “Hello world” you see above but we’re assuming they will be extending all their usual news from Google+/newsletters over to Twitter soon.

It looks like the Twitter app for Android received a trendy little update today. With version 3.4, Twitter appears to be focusing more on visual aesthetics more than anything else. You’ll find they’ve added photo improvements across the board, including:

We received a surprising tweet from @GoogleMobile today. The one stop Twitter outlet for news, tips and updates about Google products on your mobile phone is closing shop. We’re not sure if this extends beyond Twitter, but one thing is for sure: bye, bye, birdie.

Twitter for Android running on a Mac.

We first told you about BlueStacks, an incredible application that allows you to run over 450,000 Android applications on your PC, back in March when it was first released as a beta. Several months later and it’s now available to those with a Mac.

Twitter rolled out a new version of their Android and iOS apps today, improving on search, discovery, and notifications. In both apps, search has become increasingly easier thanks to spelling suggestions and related searches in search results. Username autocomplete in search has also been added, making finding someone extremely fast and less cumbersome. iPhone users will enjoy additional search improvements with a tap of the search box in Discover allowing them to see their most recent queries, as well as the ability to go directly to someone’s profile when searching for a username in Connect.
