We received a surprising tweet from @GoogleMobile today. The one stop Twitter outlet for news, tips and updates about Google products on your mobile phone is closing shop. We’re not sure if this extends beyond Twitter, but one thing is for sure: bye, bye, birdie.

@GoogleMobile has over 500,000 Twitter followers who look forward to being alerted to the next “big” mobile news in regards to Google, but it looks like they’ll have to start following other sources (if they don’t already). @GoogleMobile was kind enough to direct us to their large list of product accounts still open on Twitter, so if your need for Google news isn’t being fulfilled, it’s time to check out this Twitter directory.

We’re sad to see you go, but like all good things, they must come to an end. Farewell @GoogleMobile and Godspeed.
