The U.K. supermarket chain, Tesco, has officially announced its first budget-friendly low-end 7-inch tablet, the “Hudl,” which will ship running Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. The device is available to purchase with an affordable price tag of £119 and Tesco Clubcard holders will be able to obtain the slate through their “Clubcard Boost” program, which will enable them to pick one up for as little as £60.

PlayStation-App-Android

At the Tokyo Games Show today, Sony unveiled its new PlayStation App for Android and iOS, which lets gamers access the PlayStation Network from their smartphone and tablet to interact with friends, see what others are playing, and remotely download games to your console.

The app will also turn your Android or iOS device into a second screen for selected PlayStation 4 titles.

Twitter should have released a proper tablet app for Android several years ago, but we’ve been forced to use a blown-up version of the mobile client instead. But not anymore. Believe it or not, the company has (slowly) been working on a tablet app for Android, and a leaked version of it is available to download now.

Shazam Redesign

Shazam, the popular music discovery service, received a rather hefty update on Google Play yesterday. Version 4.0 finally brings dedicated tablet support, together with a completely redesigned user interface.

Google Keyboard Header

Yesterday, Google pushed out an update for its official Keyboard application on Google Play, bringing users the new function of a long-press action for numbers when using an Android tablet. In addition, a mass of bug fixes and stability improvements have also been bundled into this upgrade.
