The demand for 4G LTE connectivity has never been greater, and companies are pulling out all the stops in an effort to try to fulfil the high demand. Yesterday, Sprint announced that it has turned on high-speed 4G LTE data in an additional 34 locations. Giving Sprint a total of 185 markets nationwide in which it offers its 4G services.

Taking their sweet time about it, Sprint will be following the likes of Verizon Edge, AT&T Next and T-Mobile Jump with an annual update plan all of their own. The plan is called One Up, and it will be available on Sprint the same day the iPhone 5S/5C go on sale: September 20th.

If you’re hoping to pick up one of Apple’s new iPhones next Friday, but you need a little cash to put towards it, then it might be worth heading down to your local Walmart with your old smartphone. The retailer is set to launch its own smartphone trade-in program, which will give you between $50 and $300 when you hand over your old device and sign into a new plan.

Yesterday, Sprint officially announced that LG’s latest flagship smartphone, the G2, will be available to pre-order from its website, starting October 11, for the sum of $199 on a 2-year contract. Furthermore, Sprint will also be giving away a complimentary Quick Window case (worth $49) with every pre-order of the handset.

I don’t know about you, but I’ve been itching to find out more about the LG Nexus 5 since it made an accidental appearance in the video for Google’s KitKat statue unveiling earlier this week. Fortunately for us, you can always rely on the FCC to tell the world about a secret, unreleased product weeks ahead of its official unveiling.

Codenamed the “D820,” the new device will have a 5-inch display, LTE connectivity, and a speedy Snapdragon 800 processor.
