Motorola today has started rolling out a new software update for the Moto 360 that brings with it some minor but much needed bug-fixes. This includes a fix for the smartwatch intermittently loosing connection to the connected Android device and many under the hood system optimisations.

Google today laid out its software update plans for Android Wear and the features that they will be bringing to its wearables platform. The first update will add offline music playback and GPS support to Android Wear, allowing you to listen to music on a Bluetooth headset, and go for a run and track your distance and speed without your smartphone.

No matter who manufactured your Android Wear watch, “the latest and greatest software” will come direct from Google, the search giant has confirmed.

OnePlus-One-KitKat-4-4-4

Earlier today, the Cyanogen and OnePlus team started rolling out a major software update for the OnePlus One that brings with it a number of bug-fixes and enhancements. Since the OTA update is being rolled out in batches though, it won’t be available instantly to everyone with “full deployment” scheduled to occur from the end of this week.

If you are a OnePlus One owner and are eagerly waiting for the update to land on your phone, here is some news to brighten up your day. You can manually download the OTA update and sideload it to your device in no time, provided you are comfortable with ADB and Fastboot. 

LG-G-Watch-corrosion

Can you fix hardware problems with a software update? LG certainly thinks so. The company is currently rolling out a patch for the G Watch that promises to eliminate charging pin corrosion. It comes amid mounting complaints from disgruntled users whose watches have literally been wasting away on their wrists.
