The best GTA game is going mobile.

Rockstar Games brought Grand Theft Auto 3 to Android and iOS last December, and I’ve been playing it over and over ever since; it’s one of my favorite games on mobile. I was delighted, then, when Rockstar announced today that its successor, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, is also being ported to Android and iOS to celebrate its 10th anniversary.

After a bit of a delay, Rockstar Games promised Android users that Max Payne would be hitting the Play Store on June 14, and sure enough, it’s here. After missing its April launch on Android, Max Payne is finally ready to cause some bloodshed this Thursday, June 14. As long as Rockstar Games keeps to their word, you’ll soon be able to enjoy classic Max Payne gameplay for the low price of $2.99. That’s a steal considering Max Payne mobile features HD graphics, high-resolution textures, Social Club connectivity, user-customizable controls and gamepad support for select USB controllers.

While the majority of Americans celebrate Memorial Day with barbecues and lawn darts, Rockstar Games is celebrating with pimps, hoes, and enough bloodshed to paint any street red. Grand Theft Auto III for iOS and Android was introduced earlier this year for $2.99 with much fanfare. Today, we have more exciting news from game maker Rockstar, who has announced that Max Payne Mobile is launching for iOS on April 12th and Android April 26th.
