iPhone-5c-thumbs-down

Apple launched its new 8GB iPhone 5c in Europe this morning in an effort to boost disappointing sales figures — but there’s just one problem. At £429 ($712) in the United Kingdom, it’s still far too expensive for budget-conscious smartphone consumers.

In fact, there are a whole bunch of flagship Android-powered handsets with bigger displays and better specifications that you can get significantly cheaper. Here are six of the best.

LG Lucid 3

People in the U.S. will soon be able to get the LG Lucid 3 VS876 from Verizon Wireless, according to a new leak. The leaked press image reveals that this will be a midrange handset possibly with a low price tag as well. Interestingly, the display has very thin side bezels, which is almost reminiscent of the LG G2.

The LG G3 is still quite a few months away from its official unveiling but leaks about the handset have already started springing up. The latest leak comes from the folks over at PhoneArena who have been tipped by their sources inside LG that the G3 will come with a 5.5-inch Quad HD display.

LG G Pro 2 Magic Focus

Remember the creepy LG G Flex ad from last week? Well, the Korean manufacturer has now made amends for that with its new commercial for the LG G Pro 2 phablet. This ad speaks of the smartphone’s ‘Magic Focus’ feature which is very similar to the near and far focus features from the Samsung Galaxy S5.

HTC-One-pinhole-case

HTC has developed its own alternative to accessories like the Samsung S View cover and LG QuickWindow folio for the upcoming “All New HTC One.” The Taiwanese company’s new case sports dozens of tiny holes in its front cover that offer a peek at the time, the weather, and other handy information.

And the HTC leaks certainly don’t stop there today. A reliable source also promises that the new HTC One will also be available as a Google Play Edition device.
