KitKat 10

AT&T customers with a Galaxy S4 or Galaxy Note 3 can now get their hands on leaked Android 4.4 KitKat updates, thanks to a member of the XDA Developers forum. Both are pre-release builds that may contain a few bugs, but if you can’t wait for AT&T to roll out the official versions, then they’re ready to download now.

Red-Nexus-5-packaging

Packing for the supposed red Nexus 5 has shown up on Twitter, suggesting the handset’s official debut may be right around the corner. The shots above and below show the handsets in LG boxes ready to leave the company’s warehouse, and this particular batch appears to be headed to Great Britain.

LG unwrapped its first high-end Android-powered flagship tablet, the G Pad 8.3 in the United States back in October, 2013, however, the South Korean company has never mentioned that an LTE-enabled variant would also be touching down in the States, too. A recent FCC filing shows that the upcoming G Pad variant, model number VK810 will support Verizon’s LTE and HSPA data services, therefore, confirming 4G capabilities are on the way.

Optimus G Pro

It looks like LG will be announcing a new QuickWindow cover specifically designed for its flagship phablet of 2013, the G Pro. A leaked press render reveals that the accessory will have similar functionality to that provided by the cover for the G2, allowing users to answer/decline calls, view the current weather, pause/play or skip tracks within the integrated music player and switch between a series of very elegant clock faces.

Last week a series of screenshots were posted on Twitter indicating that Samsung’s in the process of working on a major design overhaul for its famous TouchWiz user interface which gets plastered over the top of the traditional Android OS on all of its current smartphones. Today, two new screenshots have emerged showing what appears to be an informative card based UI, similar to what Google created with Now.
