Just about every major tech company is working on two untapped product categories right now: wearable technology and streaming television over the internet. Apple is trying to draw in TV networks with advertising incentives, and even Intel is working on its own TV service.

It should come as no surprise that Google has been in talks with media companies about streaming premium TV over the internet. The company has reportedly demoed its new product to cable executives, but it’s still up to the networks to jump on board.

Moto X Google Now

And still the deluge of Moto X leaks continue. Yesterday a leaked demonstration video from the major Canadian carrier, Rogers, appeared online showcasing many of the headline features for Motorola’s upcoming flagship smartphone. The video also reveals that the Moto X will launch exclusively on Rogers in Canada this August, and will be available to purchase in both black and white.

Chrome for Android has received a pretty solid update, bringing you the ability to now view webpages in fullscreen mode on your tablets as well as your smartphones, built-in translation for websites in different languages and a new and improved interface for right-to-left languages.

Google_Nexus_7_in_hand

Google’s second-generation Nexus 7 could be just weeks away with supply chain sources claiming it’ll launch in late July or early August. Like the current Nexus 7, the new model will reportedly be built by Asus, and it’ll feature much-improved specifications, including a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera and a Snapdragon 600 processor.

Schmidt-Moto-X

We’ll probably have to wait until the end of August to get the Moto X, but Google chairman Eric Schmidt has gotten his hands on one early. He was photographed using a white model at the annual Allen & Co. business conference in Sun Valley, Idaho, yesterday.
