Sonic-SEGA-All-Stars

SEGA has today announced its mobile games lineup for the coming months, with a number of notable new titles heading to Android and iOS.

Highlights include a revamped Sonic the Hedgehog 2 — which will be available on Android for the first time; Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing Transformed, and a rhythm franchise that originally made its debut on the Nintendo DS.

As promised, Microsoft has released its official Remote Desktop app for Android and iOS to coincide with the launch of Windows 8.1. The app is free to download and use, and just like the many third-party remote desktop clients, it allows you to access your Windows PC remotely from your smartphone or tablet.

Nexus-5-Google-Play-Store-live

If you thought Google was pretty silly for accidentally leaking its own Nexus 5 handset in a video of the KitKat statue unveiling, then the company’s latest slip-up should certainly amuse you. For a brief period on Thursday evening, the 16GB Nexus 5 — which is still yet to be announced — was seen on the Google Play store with a $350 price tag.

Google is in the process of rolling out an unexpected update for its official Play Music application, which comes pre-loaded on all Android devices. The upgrade brings a couple of interesting new features, including an “I’m feeling lucky” radio station and a rather useful user interface tweak.

An upcoming Google Play 4.4 update for Android has leaked, revealing a number of design and navigation changes. It’s still a “work in progress,” sources claim, but it gives us a taster of what we can expect from the Google Play app when it is updated for Android 4.4 KitKat in the coming weeks.
