It’s safe to say that Beats Music wasn’t as popular as the consumer electronics company would have liked. Upon its release it was welcomed to a ton of one star reviews on both Android and iOS, mainly due to the application’s lack of functionality and fluidity. But it now looks like Beats have taken the large amount of user feedback onboard and is pushing out a rather significant update for the application via the Play Store.

Following a fortnight of rumors and speculation, Google has now uploaded it’s official Camera application to the Play Store, much to our surprise we’re seeing a completely redesigned user interface, along with an array of new effects, high resolution panoramas and a nifty 100% viewfinder.

Jesse Carter, the Android developer who scammed tens of thousands of users with a fake antivirus app, has admitted he made a “foolish mistake.”

Using the name Deviant Solutions, Carter released the Virus Shield app that promised to protect smartphones and tablets from dangerous files. It was priced at $3.99 and quickly rocketed to the top of the Google Play Store’s paid chart after attracting over 30,000 downloads.

The only problem was, Virus Shield didn’t actually do anything.

Google officially updated its Play Store support page earlier today by notifying consumers that it has just launched its Play Store gift cards in Austria, as it continues on its quest to expand its worldwide availability with €15, €25 and €50 denominations.
